Introducing a new collection for Spring '24, ELLIPSE. Looking to the symbolism of circles throughout history and the essence of new beginnings, the collection looks to capture an awakening and an unfurling, reminiscent of the first bloom of Spring.

The harmonic duality between yin and yang guides new silhouettes that reflect the organic conflict between elements of structure and collapse. Artful drapes are grounded by sculptural shapes and liquid fabrications are balanced by architecturally weighted cloth.

Circular lines are captured throughout rounded elongated shapes and signature bias constructions follow the contours of the body. Exploring the disparity between convex and concave, cowl neck drapes create a sense of sculptural ease. Swooping curves are richly juxtaposed against graphic geometric sharp lines and angular edges

“Spring 2024 is somewhat of a rebirth. I am beginning a journey with many new faces in my design team, and I wanted to feel a new energy. This sense of newness is explored through my experimentation with sculptural forms. I was thinking a lot about circularity - circular seams to create unique constructions and a different sense of liberation from rigid straight lines.

The symbolism of circles is universal. Coming back to beginnings, coming back to guiding principles, understanding that you are part of a continuum feels very relevant to me right now. I was thinking about structure and collapse - how to build, and where to let things fall. The beauty contained in both the architecture and the dissolution.”

The shades of the season follow that of a fresh Spring awakening. Crisp, cool tones of aqua, periwinkle and mint thaw to reveal earthen tan, soft pink, mushroom and khaki. Spring shades are punctuated by graphic black and white that illustrate the strength of the form.

Introducing the Mint Bloom print. Soothing shades of mint and sand subtly entwine to reveal a fresh blossoming.

“The colour palette this season transitions from the coolness of winter to sharp sophisticated tones of deepest sky, and sun kissed earth, through to earthy spring new-growth tones.

Using honest materials such as cotton and silk, complimented by striking liquid satins and intricate laces. Spliced textures are expertly crated into refined modern shapes. The combinations of sheer and opaque amplifying a message of intrigue and concealment.”

ELLIPSE follows an artful dialogue between drape and sculpture.
