BEAUTY ON THE RUNWAY | RESORT 27

Step behind the curtain of our Australian Fashion Week show and discover the beauty vision that shaped every look. Resort 27 considers freedom not as resistance, but as refinement –from the first touch of product to the final step on the runway every detail echoes that same quiet rebellion. Crafted in collaboration with our beauty partners O&M and Weleda.

Scroll to explore the artistry and the backstage moments that defined the show’s signature look.

John Pulitano, Hair Director for O&M, embraces individuality and works with the hair to allow it to find its own movement and pattern, establishing a look that feels modern, contemporary and effortlessly relaxed.

“The direction was really about allowing each model’s natural texture to exist as it is, embracing individuality and letting the hair find its own movement and pattern.

We used the O&M Atonic through the roots to bring the shape of the hair closer to the face and subtly frame each individual’s features. Through the mid-lengths and ends we applied O&M PS Balm to restore moisture and create soft definition without losing the hair’s natural texture

The look was then finished with O&M C-Spray, which gives the hair a conditioned, salty finish while still allowing it to move freely and organically”

Victoria Baron, Makeup Director using Weleda, approaches each face with intuition. Allowing to retain its natural textures and breathe freely, the result is radiant, considered and never overworked.

“For Bianca Spender this season, we were drawn to the way light travels across the body and through and along the garments. The makeup follows this same idea, celebrating the way light catches healthy skin in an effortless and organic motion.

Skin is first cleansed and prepared with the Weleda Skin Food Cleansing Balm, removing impurities while leaving the complexion soft and comforted. Hydration and luminosity are layered into the skin using Skin Food Super Serum and Skin Food Original, while lips are nourished with the Skin Food Lip Balm. The Weleda Calendula All Purpose Balm is pressed onto the high points of the face to create a lived-in sheen, with the Skin Food Ultra-Light Dry Oil continuing that healthy glow across select areas of the skin and body.

The overall impression is effortless. Skin that breathes, that feels raw in the best way, while still holding refinement. A subtle point of interest appears on select models, with a painterly, organic touch of gold across the eyes. It catches the light softly, adding dimension without disrupting the purity of the skin. Nothing is fixed or overly defined. It is about responding to each face and allowing the makeup to sit naturally within it.”
