Step behind the curtain of our Australian Fashion Week runway show and enter the world of Deliquesce - a collection shaped by movement, emotion, and release.
Creative Director Bianca Spender describes Deliquesce as a cathartic call to surrender:
"What part of you is asking to be set free? What are you tightly clutching that you're ready to let go?"
This season's creative vision flowed from that invitation- to soften, to unravel, and to emerge lighter. On the runway, this took form in sculptural draping, fluid asymmetry and billowing silhouettes that moved like water around the body.
Join us as we uncover the moments that shaped the runway from backstage.
The energy backstage was electric - fast, focused and alive with movement.
Each moment had a purpose. Our team worked instintcively, adjusting sculptural drapes, securing asymmetrical fastenings without disturbing their fluidity. Volume coaxed into shape. Light fabrics were guided into place. Ready for the pieces to come alive in motion. Models stepped into gowns mid-conversation. A hem was steamed as jewellery was clasped. Final touches were made. Every person, every moment, part of seamless rhythm.
The runway is the final act- but the story starts backstage. It's written in the shared moments, the last-minute decisions, the way fabric responds to touch.Thank you for stepping behind the scenes with us.
