DIVE INTO OUR NEW MOSMAN BOUTIQUE

Much like our signature design handwriting, Bianca Spender boutiques look to evoke a deep sense of tranquillity. Taking nature’s lead, earthen textures, tones and organic moulds honour each space and soothing shades of sage surround.Here we speak with Dani Dean, Founder of Interior Design Studio, The Make Haus, to discover the artistry behind our new-look Mosman boutique.

HI DANI, WE'RE THRILLED TO UNVEIL OF NEW MOSMAN BOUTIQUE. CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?

"Hello, My name is Dani and I have an interior studio on Sydney's Northern Beaches called The Make Haus. We are a multi-faceted studio with exploration into event builds and botanical concepts which weave our signature aesthetic into our commercial design projects."

CAN YOU TALK US THROUGH THE INSPIRATION FOR THE MOSMAN SPACE?

"This is the second store we have had the pleasure of reimagining for Bianca Spender. We were fortunate enough to have the palette and refreshed Bianca Spender identity carved out from the last project we worked together on for the High Street boutique. We ventured into Mosman with a similar mood that sought to soften and lighten the space and induce a soft futuristic mood. We were inspired by nature, calming landscapes and movement. We were particularly drawn to shapes in natural stone and how we can explore this through organic touches that were juxtaposed with stainless steel and chrome accents."

WE RECENTLY WORKED TOGETHER TO FORGE A FRESH FEEL FOR OUR HIGH STREET BOUTIQUE. HOW DID YOU CREATE A BESPOKE SPACE FOR MOSMAN?

"The Mosman neighbourhood is a village-style community which appreciates art, objects and shopping. We wanted to introduce a considered eclectic mix of furnishings, unlike High Street which had larger upholstered lounge-style pieces."

YOU CREATED A DISTINCT SENSE OF RESPITE THROUGH ORGANICALLY CURVED DESIGN ELEMENTS. WHAT DREW YOU TO THESE CURVES?

"We were particularly drawn to shapes in natural stone and how we can explore this through organic joinery, complimented with stainless steel and chrome accents."

WHEN DESIGNING THE SPACE, DID YOU TAKE CUES FROM BIANCA'S SIGNATURE DESIGN HANDWRITING?

"It's evident Bianca has an extraordinary eye for drape, movement and fabrics falling on the body. This provided much inspiration to create a space that felt serene, yet had a clear feminine edge. We hope to have achieved this through dynamic large mirrors, futuristic LED lighting and anodised fixtures."
