For many years, Bianca Spender has donated fabric and materials to not-for-profit The Social Outfit. A fashion label with a difference, providing employment and training to people from refugee and new migrant communities in clothing production, retail, design and marketing.

Bianca Spender is proud to partner with the social enterprise Thread Together in their extraordinary efforts delivering unsold designer clothing to Australian communities in need, both promoting dignity and reaping environmental rewards, saving over 2.5 million clothing items from landfill to date.

MTK knitwear in Melbourne is both a cloth supplier and garment manufacturer. MTK have developed a reputation for mixing different yarns in ways other businesses do not seem to think of. Secondly, the machinery in their factory is almost as old as the business, so they are able to produce fabrics that simply cannot be created on high volume machines. These two factors working together result in the creation of their beautiful and completely original fabrications; of which help to set them apart in the marketplace.

Rado-Pleating Pty Ltd is one of the last remaining fabric pleaters in Australia. The company was established in 1962, and remains a family led business based in Surry Hills, Sydney. Bianca Spender works with Rado pleating to produce unique styles that use pleating to enhance inherent design drapery.

Wall Fabrics is an Australasian based fabric wholesaler, providing high end solution to Fashion designers and clothing manufacturers. Offering a diverse range of fabrics, with a heavy focus on natural fibers including wool suiting and coating, silk, cotton and linen, along with merino knit products and a range of triacetate items from Japan.

Our current goal is be certified Carbon Neutral as an organisation for 2019, 2020 and each calendar year thereafter. This action requires approval and assessment by the Australian government’s Climate Active team that we have accounted for, reduced and offset our organisations’ carbon emissions retrospectively. This includes Scopes 1, 2 & 3.

The creation of raw materials is one of the biggest environmental impacts of the fashion industry, and as such, is of considerable concern in the procurement process when designing a new collection.
Bianca spender is committed to using deadstock fabric for more than 50% of each collection, this is quality fabric which has been overproduced and would otherwise by destroyed.

Bianca Spender Packaging is sustainably produced and environmentally friendly. Our Shop bags and Ecommerce Shipping Cartons are made from 50-80% post consumer waste, use soy based inks and are 100% Compostable/Recyclable.
Our next goal is introducing Recycled post-consumer garment bags and sustainably produced garment hangers for our retail stores.
